According to calculations, the Romanian vignette in 2022 could cost 139 lei per year, while in 2021 the price was 3 lei lower. At the same time, the fine for drivers without a toll could reach 750 lei, from 250 lei at present, and for those without a bridge tax, the fine could increase from 130 lei at present to 390 lei.

All drivers, circulating in the national road network, are obliged by law (O.G. no. 15/2002 regarding the introduction of tariffs for the use of road transport infrastructure and Order no. 769/2010 regarding the approval of the Methodological Norms for the application of the tariff for the use of national road network in Romania) to pay a toll called rovinieta (vignette). Its price is set depending on the type of vehicle (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H) and the validity period (1, 7, 30, 90 days or 12 months).
