Applicability:

- the traffic on the network of national roads, excluding the roads that are within city limits;

- all the classes of vehicles registered both in Romania and other states;

- natural persons and legal entities;

- vehicle = any registered road motor vehicle, with two axles minimum, or a combination of a motor vehicle and a semi-trailer, or the trailers towed by it;

- user = the natural person or legal entity that owns vehicles registered in Romania (Romanian users), or that owns vehicles registered in other states (foreign users)

- Mixed transportation vehicles belong to the class of goods vehicles.

 

Validity:

Both Romanian and foreign users can pay the road toll for validity terms of 1 day, 7 days, 30 days, and 12 months from the declared date (3-month vignettes cannot be issued since valid legislation does not provide for a toll for this validity term)
